There were two press releases published by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response in March.

The most recent press release, "DOE Awards FY23 Congressionally Mandated Sale of Crude Oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve," was submitted on March 9.

The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response published one press release the month before, marking a 100 percent increase for the current month.

CESER’s focus is preparedness and response activities to natural and man-made threats.

An inspector general report found the Office lacked internal control policies and procedures about budgets. The Office was determined to have inappropriately spent nearly $12 million due to mismanagement.
