There were three press releases published by the U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response in April.

The most recent press release, "CESER Supports DOE’s $38 Million Funding Opportunity to Secure the Grid of the Future," was submitted on April 25.

The U.S. Department of Energy, Office of Cybersecurity, Energy Security, and Emergency Response published two press releases the month before, marking a 50 percent increase for the current month.

CESER’s focus is preparedness and response activities to natural and man-made threats.

An inspector general report found the Office lacked internal control policies and procedures about budgets. The Office was determined to have inappropriately spent nearly $12 million due to mismanagement.
