Washington, D.C. - House Energy and Commerce Committee Chair Cathy McMorris Rodgers (R-WA) and Subcommittee on Health Chair Brett Guthrie (R-KY) issued the following statement after the House passed H.R. 1418, the Animal Drug and Animal Generic Drug User Fee Amendments of 2023 (ADUFA), unanimously.
“Whether you have a pet, drink milk, or eat meat, a strong and thoughtful ADUFA is important to you. That is why the People’s House took action to empower the FDA to effectively make sure the drugs we give animals work and are safe. We thank Representative Greg Pence for his leadership of this bipartisan legislation and urge the Senate to act before the September 30th deadline."
